This is how to guest appear on podcasts & talk shows for FREE
Yesterday I received a cold pitch from someone offering to “get me on new & young podcasts & talk shows” for $2000 per month. Ladies & gents, you can do this for FREE in less than 5 minutes a day.
Podcasts & talk shows allow founders to establish domain authority and build rapport at mass scale. As you can see in the testimonial to the left, my podcast guest interviews were the reason that at least one Molo9™ member subscribed to the platform.
Unlike paid advertisements, which stop when you stop paying, podcasts live on the web for years. So if the SEO of the podcast show is done well, and you link to each interview on your LinkedIn profile and personal website, you will get to reap the benefits of just one show for years after the recording has been published.
Take Action:
- Sign up for the free email over here.
- Read the emails they send. The emails are very easy, they specify what the shows is about & the types of people they are looking to have guest appear on the show.
- When you find a show that meets your criteria (Ex: “On our show we interview fitness gurus about their favorite health hacks.”) click on the show’s link to reach out directly to the host of the show.
NOTE: Most people stop here. But not you, here is what you’re going to do to start getting bigger shows looking at your profile & sending you invites.
- Each time you are on a show, add it to your press page (if you don’t have a press page, copy this one & adjust it to match your brand).
- Add the link to the show to your LinkedIn profile. To see an example look at the publications section in the screen shot below.
- Post it to your LinkedIn (here is an example).
- Then use Podawaa, or a similar app, to boost your post’s exposure with automated pods.
- After 2-4 guest appearances you should begin to receive invitations to appear on bigger and bigger shows.
- If not, aim to guest appear on a podcast from radioguestlist.com every other week until you receive invites from the bigger fish 😉
Hey [usermeta field=”first_name”],
